The History Of "Limefizz.org"
Limefizz.org, formerly known as Wisps of Stardust (©), was created sometime in December of 2000. I didn't record the date but I had my site originally on geocities and the first uploaded date was December 26th, 2000 and I've declared it Limefizz.org's birthday. Originally, it was meant to be a backgrounds site with occasional animations and such, by the name of Site Stuff by Snowflower. As you may have guessed, this got lame. I sat around thinking about a name and I came up with Wisps of Stardust and Rainbow Stardust. I thought Rainbow sounded too average so I took Wisps. (By the way, for those of you who don't know, a "Wisp" is like smoke. It like goes in wisps and stuff)

The main reason I started it was because I'd made other sites (that looked terrible) and I thought this was one I could always work on. Also, there was someone who had a site called "Backgrounds by Angelpie" and she was really popular with the people on Neopets for backgrounds in shops. I wanted to be popular too *dolt* so I kinda copied her *hangs head in shame*. However, with time the section got too large to stay on Wisps Of Stardust (due to the fact I'd discovered adding reads, adoptions, cliques, buttons etc) so I turned it into it's own site. And so, a graphics site was born by the name of Duct Tape Designs. You'll note that the link doesn't work. It's because it got waaay too big to maintain and I never updated it. I went to go there one day and it was gone -.-; I could go on but that goes into a whole host of other things. ^^

Basically this is my first site that I did in HTML and it's the site that I've kept open and running the longest (just about four years now!). My first layout was with geocities/yahoo pagebuilder (whatever it was at the time) and it looked terrible. I knew it too, my friend Andrea had shown me her sites (and introduced me to html ^^) and hers are sooo awesome. So I bit the bullet and made everything in html format, it took soo long. My first layouts were like an iframe in the middle of the screen with a background around it and the same one but lighter inside, lmao. It was really a big jump at the time. I'd like to think I've come a long way... well I guess I did in a not really but kind of sorta way.

Limefizz.org officially came into the picture May 4th, 2003. I'd been thinking about getting a domain for awhile, then my friend Chris reccomended Dr2.net to me. He's got a few domains and had no complaints, PLUS the space was decent and the price was right. Sure it's in american currency, but if you're canadian start using XE to convert your dollars! It's really handy.

In April 2005, I began to have problems with Dr2.net. It had been bought by a larger company, Mesopia.com, which I do not reccomend. Ever since the company was switched over I had nothing but problems and strange charges on my card. I paid them anyway to keep the site working and got sick of it when my renewal was about to end. I decided to switch over to Host Affection and it has been fabulous. Any changes to your account are instant, and I finally set it up on auto-renew so that I don't lose the domain name. Most of you may know that Limefizz.org was originally Limefizz.net. Because of the problems I had transferring my domain, I ended up losing the domain name. Nevertheless, I still love my site for what it is. It is my art, however simplistic it may seem.

Why Limefizz.org? Actually when I first started making websites, I highly admired a blog called lime bliss (or something of the sort). It just kinda came out lime fizz when I went to talk about it and that sounded so much cooler!! I wish that blog were still open and I could still find out who that webmistress was, she was totally my idol for awhile and now she's dissappeared *tear*
